Teething Trouble :
Teething is the process by which an infant’s first teeth sequentially appear by emerging through the gums, typically arriving in pairs. The mandibular central incisors are the first primary teeth to erupt, usually between 6 and 10 months of age. It can take several years for all 20 teeth to complete the tooth eruption. The process of teething is sometimes referred to as “cutting teeth”, because when teeth emerge through the gums they do not cut through the flesh. Instead, hormones are released within the body that cause some cells in the gums to die and separate by allowing the teeth to come through.
Teething may increase the body temperature of baby slightly, but not upto the fever range, 100–101 °F (37.8–38.3 °C). Higher temperatures during teething are due to some form of infection, such as a herpes virus, initial infection, etc.
Tonsils :
Tonsils are the two lymph nodes located on each side of the back of your throat. They function as a defense mechanism. They help prevent your body from infection. When the tonsils become infected, the condition is called tonsillitis. Tonsillitis can occur at any age and is a common childhood infection.
Their are three types of tonsils such as :
- Palatine Tonsils – Each side of the soft palate,
- Pharyngeal Tonsils – In the upper part of the throat, and
- Lingual Tonsils – On the back of the tongue.
Bedwetting :
Bedwetting is the most common health issue found in small age kids. Bedwetting, or nocturnal enuresis, refers to the unintentional passage of urine during sleep. Enuresis is the medical term for wetting, whether in the clothing during the day or in bed at night. Another name for enuresis is urinary incontinence. This problem cause due to one or more combination of following symptoms :
- The child cannot yet hold urine for the entire night.
- The child does not waken when his or her bladder is full.
- The child produces a large amount of urine during the evening and night hours.
- The child has poor daytime toilet habits.
Delayed Milestones :
Delayed milestone, also called developmental delays, is used to describe the condition where a child does not reach one of these stages at the expected age. However, in most cases, a wide variety of ages can be considered normal, and not a cause for medical concern.
This deficiency can cause because of some genetic conditions such as Down syndrome, Infection or other problems during pregnancy and childbirth, as well as premature birth, can also cause developmental delay. Delayed milestone can also be a symptom of other underlying medical conditions, including: autism spectrum disorders (ASDs)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD):
It is a developmental disorder that affects communication and behavior. … Difficulty with communication and interaction with other people. Restricted interests and repetitive behaviors. Symptoms that hurt the person’s ability to function properly in school, work, and other areas of life. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are often restricted, rigid, and even obsessive in their behaviors, activities, and interests.
